DROP-IN ART CAFÉ
Get your creative juices flowing and join us for a morning of coffee, conversation and making art at our next Art Café on Wed. Oct. 14th from 9:30-11:00 AM at
Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church, 140 Guildwood Parkway in the choir room.
Everyone is welcome; no art experience is necessary. Just come as you are and jump in! We’ll have colourful watercolours and pencils available for you to use. Let’s fill the morning with art and laughter. It’s fun, friendly, and absolutely open to all.
If you’re interested in participating, please contact the church office at 416-261-4037 or office@guildwoodchurch.ca. Not because it’s required to attend, but simply to help us with planning. The Art Cafe happens every 2nd Wednesday of the month.

The Toronto Feral Cat Coalition will have trappers in Scarborough Southwest on Oct.15/26 to trap feral cat, take them to a City clinic for spay/neuter operation and a health check, then return them to the location from which they were trapped. Residents are encouraged to keep pet cats indoors on that date.

Volunteers who wish to assist with this project are asked to email to bill@communitycats.ca to discuss ways to help.

PRE-SCHOOL DROP-IN
on Monday mornings at Guildwood Presbyterian Church, 140 Guildwood Parkway
Our Pre-School Drop-In for Parents and Caregivers continues on Mondays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the church hall and continues every Monday throughout the year following the school calendar.
This is a weekly casual drop in opportunity for preschool children and their caregivers with free play time for toddlers and preschoolers and coffee and conversation for the adults. Come when you can and stay as long as you like.

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP: Wed. Oct. 14th, 7 p.m. at Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church, 140 Guildwood Parkway in the Lounge.
Change in life is inevitable and with it comes along grief. Grief does not only pertain to the loss of an individual in death; we experience grief in the loss of relationships, marriage, careers and anticipatory grief when those we love are diagnosed with life-limiting illnesses. Grief is universal and yet all too often we do not have the right place to share or process it. Join us at Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church for a peer-led Grief Support Group. Each meeting is facilitated prayerfully and offers a safe space to share, listen, pray and reflect on our life journey. Attendees do not need to be church members. We meet the third Wednesday of each month at the church at 7PM. If you have questions, please speak to Susan Tomkins, or email susanbtomkins@gmail.com

Family Fun Activities for the whole family. Spooky garden maze with pumpkin carving and costume contest and more! A fall vendor fair, with gift wares for fall! We will have monster peameal and mummy vegan panini sandwiches and hot squash potion soup! We will have a lots of baked goodies for sale!

The Fall Art Show and Sale showcases over 400 juried, original works of art created by The Art Guild of Scarborough artists, many of whom will be in attendance. The art is a variety of mediums including watercolour, pastel, oil, acrylic, ink, sculpture and mixed media. Free parking, admission and refreshments. We look forward to seeing you.

It’s almost here!! The Village Market (formerly The Village Fair) returns on Sat. Nov. 7th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Guildwood Community Presbyterian Church, 140 Guildwood Parkway. From tools to vintage treasures, baking to handicrafts, books and puzzles to costume jewellery and a cafe to savour homemade soup and sandwiches, there’s something for everyone. No vendors. Hello friends!! This is our third year partnering with the community officers here in Scarborough to help give some kids a good Christmas during these hard times. We will be hosting our annual “stuff the cruiser” toy drive on November 21,2026 from 6pm-8pm. Come join us for photos with Santa, some hot chocolate and bring a toy to donate to a good cause for children in our community!! We hope to see you there this year 🥳🥳

Join the Bach Children’s Chorus for a delightful array of festive tunes on Sunday, December 13 at 4:30 pm. The Community Carol Sing will feature our youngest singers aged 4-9 in Kinder Choir, Prep Choir and Choir I. Get ready to add your voice to the mix with audience sing-alongs of classic holiday tunes!
