[Toronto ON] Come in costume and join 2026 JUNO Award nominee Chris McKhool, one of Canada’s most beloved family entertainers, for a frightfully fun Halloween celebration at the Kingston Road Village Concert Series on Friday October 30, 2026 (6:00pm, https://torontohalloween.eventbrite.ca ).

Known for his infectious energy, engaging storytelling, and music that brings people together across cultures, McKhool creates concerts where children don’t just sit and listen—they sing, dance, laugh, wiggle, and become part of the show. Expect a joyful, high-energy evening filled with spooky surprises, catchy songs, and plenty of Halloween fun for the whole family.

Dress up for the costume contest, bring your imagination, and get ready for a giggling, dancing, mosh-pit-inducing celebration of childhood, community, and music!

This is also the official Toronto CD release party for his new album GLOBAL DANCE PARTY! The recording features an outstanding ensemble of musicians, including Kevin Laliberté on guitar, Saskia Tomkins on fiddle and Thermin, and Drew Birston on bass, along with a complete horn section. Mixed in Dolby Atmos by Grammy-winning engineer John “Beetle” Bailey, the album brings a rich, immersive sound to a celebration designed for family listening.

Global Dance Party!, scheduled for release October 30th, continues his long-standing commitment to creating joyful, meaningful music that brings children and families together through rhythm, movement, storytelling, and musical traditions from around the world.

Come Celebrate the season with Brown’s Flowers in our new home!
From the moment you step inside the new location in Cliffcrest plaza, you can feel the love and
passion that went into designing this new space. The shop area is bright & welcoming,
containing many shelves stocked with a wide variety of gifts and gourmet items. Although the
primary focus is still on flowers for all occasions, Browns’ new focus on Gifts and Gourmet has
been exciting and delighting the Cliffcrest Community ever since the move this summer.

The Vanderkooy Family has owned Brown’s Flowers since 1975, Nathan & Anca are 2nd
generation owners who are proud to continue Paul & Laura’s commitment to fresh flowers,
Quality Giftware and excellent customer service. While they look back fondly on their time at
Kingston Rd & St Clair Ave, the move to Cliffcrest Plaza has meant easier parking & more
in-store shopping. This allows the opportunity to bring in a wider collection of goodies for all
occasions. One popular new feature is a Cash-and-carry bouquet station with competitive
seasonal mixes fresh and ready to go at all times.

Brown’s is very excited to welcome everyone to our revitalized Christmas Open House on the
weekend of November 14th & 15th. It’s the 51st Annual event and the first one in this new
location. As always, there will be a store-wide discount on Holiday Treats and a gift with every
purchase. In addition, pre-orders will be accepted for Evergreen Wreaths, Cedar Garlands,
Poinsettias and more at special pricing as well as discounts on holiday arrangement pre-orders.
Add home-baked goodies and perhaps even a visit from a special guest or two and you’ll have an
event to remember.

Shopping locally has never been more important and Brown’s Flowers has made this goal
central to their gift sourcing. They are delighted to offer a wide array of beautiful and delicious
Canadian-made items, from hand-poured soaps and candles to stunning jewelry from Canadian
artisans. For the sweet tooth, they have greatly expanded their offerings from Roger’s Chocolates
of Victoria BC as well as bringing in choice items from other high-quality gourmet providers.
